Turn broiler on high.
Place half stick butter in ovenproof ceramic dish. Melt butter under broiler. When it starts to bubble it's ready.
Remove from oven. Add scallops toss to coat in butter. Season with salt, pepper, lemon pepper seasoning. Top with panko bread crumbs. Place a few pats of butter in dish. Add slices of one lemon and squeeze of lemon juice all over. Sprinkle with paprika and chopped chives.
Place under broiler and cook until panko turns golden brown. 4-5 minutes max. Do not overcook.
Serve with lemon wedges.
