My easy, delicious and quick recipe to make Whole Pompano fish
in the Air Fryer with a few pantry ingredients. You can easily adjust
the spice level and seasonings to your preference too.
Ingredients
2tsp Chili powder (reduce if you don't like heat)
1/2tsp Granulated garlic/garlic powder
1tsp Freshly ground black pepper
1/4tsp Turmeric powder (optional)
1tsp Salt
1 1/2tbsp Lime Juice
1tsp Avocado oil/ Cooking oil of your choice
1 whole Pompano Fish about 1.1lb / 500g in weight
Instructions
In a small bowl, mix chili powder, garlic powder, black pepper, turmeric, salt, lime and oil. Mix well.
Add 4 - 6 gashes/cuts to each side of the fish. Dry off any water or
blood from the fish using a paper towel. Rub the spice mix all over the
fish, including inside the gashes you just made.
Place in the air fryer and Air fry for 1o minutes at 400F/ 204C.
Carefully flip the fish and air fry again for another 5 - 6 minutes or
until the fish is cooked through.
Total
cooking time may very depending on the thickness of the fish, air fryer
brand and model. Check with an instant thermometer to ensure that the
fish is cooked thoroughly. The cooked temp for fish is 145°F (63°C)
